I have our interview scheduled for the 24th of this month. I have a couple quick questions. On the list of required paperwork they state they would like an originall and 1 photocopy.

Is the original that necessary. My fiancé sent her original birth certificate and original police report in with packet 3.

Thank you

I know that Montreal does things a bit different. If they already have the original, then that should suffice. Obviously you can't have 2 originals. Someone with experience with the Montreal embassy can chime in with better info. This question might be better asked in the Canada forums.

The original documents will be in your file when you get there. They keep the original of the police certificate. They will give you back the original of the birth certificate and they want to keep a photocopy of it. Did you make a photocopy that you can provide them with? I don't know if there is a copier machine in their back office. ( you'd have to think so )
