Fraud prevalent in international marriages? (split)

This is a very interesting topic and I will give my two cents as well. I just recently married a chinese woman. She belonged to a qq group of women that were also applying for the k1 visas and others who were already married and in the US. My wife was shocked at how many of the women were getting married strictly for the visa and didn't really love the men they were with. She also saw that a lot of the women get divorced after two years once they have a 10 year visa. I don't know if this is prevalent for a lot of countries but I'm surprised that I don't see anyone acknowledging the fact that there is most likely a faur number of women (and possibly men to) that are primarily interested in coming to the US.

I think nobody wants to hear this going into an international marriage but I think it is something that needs to be considered. .

Timeline

My USC parents knew each other 2 weeks before marriage, married 44 years, had good times and bad times, raised me, stuck it out.

I knew 1st hubby 6 months before we married, married 40 years, had good times and bad times, raised 2 daughters, stuck it out even though he became an alcoholic.

I met 2nd hubby online, we knew each other 6 months before we met in person and married. So far we are still happy, we agree on a lot more things than me and 1st hubby. He treats me better than first hubby. Can't predict the future....

*** OP split from 7 year old thread into its own topic ***

I don't think anyone denies that happens, OP- that is why an international couple of to prove their bonafide relationship, often several times, and there are interviews etc. I don't think it is prevalent, but yes, there are people that go into this for fraudulent reasons, and they make it more difficult for the genuine couples, especially from certain countries, to get a visa.
