Hi everyone!

Our case for CR-1 was completed at NCV on July 2nd and we are waiting for an interview date. How long will it take before we received an interview date? I have read something about packet 3 and 4, what are they and will they sent via email or snail mail? When should I contact the NVC or the consulate in Vietnam if I haven't heard anything from them?

Background on our case

I met my husband while working in the same company in Japan (by the way I am also Viet). 1 month after we started dating my husband got transferred back to the factory in Vietnam and fortunately 2.5 months after that I also got transferred to the factory in Vietnam. While we were separated we texted and talked via Yahoo.

I visited him for Christmas, 2011 during my business trip there. Then at the end of January 2012 I officially moved to Ha noi to live. At that time we decided to move in together. At the end of May my husband proposed to me. Then a month later we found out that I was pregnant so we moved up the wedding for July. Filed the petition in September and I went back to the US in October awaiting my son's arrival.

When my sons was 2 months old I took him back to visit my husband.

So I would like to ask are there any red flag in our relationship that you guys can see? Since I never thought about marrying him and filling for the visa I didnt do a good job a keeping evidence. We have some photos but not a crazy amount.

Will the CO ask for. DNA test for my son and husband?

for 'what's next' -

what did you study in the Wiki section here, and can you tell us (from reading stuff) what's next?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I have K1 Visa and I just got my case # from NVC. I was under the impression I can go ahead and fill out the forms requested and they will contact my fiance for interview date and so forth.

Or do I just wait until they send him that information?

They verified our emails when I called to get the case number.

I saw others actually called NVC for interview date, so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to do that...

I still have to send my fiance an updated intent to marry letter and the i-134 forms and proof of income to go along with it.

I'm on the same boat as you are! Just wait and hope fully you receive a good news soon! I applied for my daughter's birth abroad certificate and they not even look into all the evidence or ask for DNA test. The only thing they look at is the flight ticket that show the time that I'm physically in Vietnam with my wife.

Good Luck

I thought that is my question. Why are you asking me? Do you have any advice to give?

Yea, I called them a few times since my case was completed but they say they won't know anything until they schedule for an interview. I am getting more nervous by the day. I didnt turn in any evidence when I turn in my I-130 form so I nope they will let me give all the evidence during the interview.
