Read this article and understand what it means. The DOJ will "wait" to see the results of any civil action before pursuing Federal Civl Rights charges.

what it means is that the Feds have already poured over all the evidence, including that which was barred from the criminal trial, and interviewed dozens of witnesses and have NO basis to charge GZ with Federal violations. They will "wait and see" if something comes out of a civil trial.

It won't.

GZ would be a fool to allow this to go to a civil trial. When the civil suit comes, just settle it with mney received from donations

Interesting that the NAACP is outraged at the process of our justice system that they fought so hard to implement and change to be fair for everyone. Did they think all the SCOTUS rulings only benefitted black people?

NAACP President Ben Jealous told CNN's Candy Crowley that his team has been in contact with the Attorney General's office, but he doesn't expect the Justice Department to act until the end of the any civil suits that result from George Zimmerman's not guilty verdict. "If this moves to a civil case, they will review everything that comes out in that and then they will make a choice about whether or not they will pursue criminal civil rights charges. We are calling on them to do just that," Jealous said on CNN's State of the Union. Jealous said he was "outraged" and "heartbroken" over the verdict. But, ultimately, Jealous believes the Justice Department will be able to make a case for civil rights charges. "When you look at (Zimmerman’s) comments…there is reason to be concerned race was a factor," he said.

ie - why is the DoJ involved when the FBI hasn't 'reported back' yet on a 'new investigation', yet to be started?

FWIW, there was a prior FBI investigation about TM and GZ.
