Oh.

That makes the "it ended in tears" thing a bit creepier...

I'll admit, that is what I was going for. I suppose if it went horribly wrong there could be tears. Ok, I'll let spooks handle this line of jokes from now on.

The medics who treated him at the scene, the RNP that he went to see the day after and, last but not least, Mr. Zimmermann himself. He declined to be checked out at a hospital. Not many with significant injuries, let alone with head injuries, would do that unless they're suicidal.

This would be really critical and important information if they had not already reached a verdict.

i don't get it.

I'm super glad that most people don't. laughing.gif

All it takes is one person with 17 items in the 15 items or less lane and all hell breaks loose.

Sometimes when it's busy and they have the front end manager out helping, she will look at my basket with 17-20 items and put me in the express lane. That always freaks me out. I always tell her, ok I am going to send them to you.

I am a bit of a grocery store type A also.

The other day at Sams. Some woman had a buggy, her two kids also had buggies (ages 10-14). They had them strategically placed them to block the whole aisle, as she proceeded to have a cell phone conversation in the middle. I waited patiently for circus to break up. She looked directly at me twice and went back to talking. I finally said excuse me and they just kind of rolled their eyes. I then took one of the buggies and rolled it to the corner and parked it at the end of the aisle and proceeded on my way. She started mouthing some kind of B.S. My wife almost died.

I spent about three terrible years in my late teens working at a grocery store. People are always surprised when I say it's the worst job I ever had, but it honestly was. I'm not sure what it is about grocery stores, but they bring out the worst in people. Honestly the worst customers I've ever had in my teenage years stuck in retail.

And that's awesome, I would have done the same thing.

Yet the trial did explain to anyone watching how easy it is to get away with a justifiable homicide.

Shoot the victim dead so there is no witness and then hit your head and face a few times.

It's gonna be the Zimmerman defense.

No it's called a lesson learned from Bernhard Goetz. Don't stop shooting until you are either out of bullets or they are dead. Never pull a gun to nick someone.

Yes if it could be proven that GZ approached TM with aggression and attacked him, and TM got the best of him and GZ died in the fight.. TM would walk if I was on the jury

But when you're bashing in someone's head, you should stop before you kill them. Once they are knocked out, you can run away or call the cops. Or course if you're the guy getting his head bashed in, you would be wise to not let it get to the point of unconsciousness and risk death or serious injury. That is what GZ claims he did. Self defense, fearing great bodily harm.

Zimmermann had nothing but a couple of minor, insignificant injuries. His entire medical treatment amounted to three band aids.

Here's a guy whose head smashed into concrete this past weekend in NYC - that's what that looks like. And I can tell you that the assailant will not be charged for arming himself with a sidewalk.

You're still on that kick? GZ's injuries had nothing to do with it. Nothing. And 6 female jurors agreed, and gasp, one of them was black. That's the law, that was the case, that is why the police didn't press charges to begin with. The jury has spoken. Get over it.

I was 12 pages behind in this thread, so I'm just catching up. Plus it helps my post count.

I hear some people have interesting strategies for rapidly raising post count.

If aѕѕholes could fly, this place would be an airport.

It would be "Area 51", because nobody really knows what's going on in P&R, not even the posters.

And of course we all married aliens.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.
