My fiance drives a motorcycle in the Philippines. I figure those skills translate into some kind of carnival Dare Devil rider here in the States.

I've never been in fear for my life until I took my first Trike ride in Cebu.

I don't know if I'd let her drive here without lots of classes.

If she is driving a bike in Cebu, she will be on the Nascar circuit over here.

I am going to try and drive at least in the province next time I go over.

My wife has never steered any set of wheels in her life prior to coming here - not even so much as a bicycle. Getting her into a car was quite a challenge. It took about 5 years for her to finally get it together. And driving lessons are a good idea. I tried to teach her how to drive but those lessons usually didn't end well. She then took lessons with an instructor which worked well. Then she finally passed her driving test. About another year later, she actually started to take her car for a ride every now and then by herself. Still only in the immediate vicinity - the mall, the grocery, her family and friends that live nearby, our daughter's school and her job. All that is within a less than 10 mile radius. And that's it. The big scare is gone but she still is not really comfortable driving.

I know but then I actually have to go shopping and I hate that. I keep meaning to order one off Amazon but I forget.

You hate shopping.. You are not female.

My wife is into coupons now . I just carry her and find a chair and read or play a game.

I have to brag

We went to CVS the other day.. She got 40 dollars worth of stuff and got 4 bucks back.

I guess saying I hate shopping isn't true .. I hate people, so they tend to make my shopping trips more irritating than anything.

That is awesome - I wish I had the patience to do it!

I met am ExPat from England while I was there and he'd been to almost every Asian county before settling in PI.

He told me "I've driven everywhere, but I've been here for 12 years and I haven't been behind the wheel once." I asked them if they drove crazy in other countries and he said "this is the worst by far, but they rarely have accidents, so who knows?"

lol

Yeah, the laws are a lot different here...meaning we actually have driving laws...unlike the Philippines where I don't even know if they have tickets?

I don't actually. I was being dramatic.

I like the majority of people and tend to give almost everyone the benefit of the doubt.

But people who stand in aisles in a store and have a conversation and block everyone from getting to where they want to go?

If I believed in Hell, there'd be a special place there for those people.

Ok I paid attention to what you said, now you tell me you did not mean it.

See!

That is very simple, yet alot of people can't grasp that concept. I guess common sense goes out the window when the race card is thrown all over the place.

Yes it does.

But rather than speculate on if the case were an exact "negative" of what it was...ie. black defendent and 5 of 6 jurors black, lets look at what we KNOW would happen.

The police in this case had done their investigation and found that that GZ (color him balck for this comparison) had lawfully defended himself from the attack of a tall, Scandanavian looking guy named Mark Jones. They release GZ and what happens next...

NOTHING.

NOTHING.

Black GZ would be released and go back home, no charges pressed. The compariosn of "he would have been guilty if he were black" is ludicrous. He would never have been tried if he were black.

There would never have been pressure from Jesse Jackson, Al sharpton or even Barack Obama..."If I had a son he wouldn't look anything like this!"

Oddly enough, as we see here, the entire case is about RACE but no one wants to admit it is about race. Bad news for TM because there was never mention of race in the trial. Hard for the Feds to go after a "hate crime" when there is no crime and no mention of hate!

Nothing more to discuss, really.

This is why I carry a gun to buy paper towels.
