Any updates in ur case????

Yes. Thanks for asking. Just about an hour ago, I got an update on the old web site, egov.uscis.gov, that his card is being produced. I do not know why, but it seems everyone gets this update first and then the update notification that the case has been approved. So barring any mistakes by USCIS, I expect that we will get the approved update probably tomorrow. So I expect that the approval date will be today, 26 Jul 2019,  13 months and 11 days from the NOA1 date.

Me being Czech and my lady originally from the Philippines is the (naturalized) US citizen. We're in the K-1, currently waiting for further developments after having received the NOAC2 a month ago.

I have lived in the Netherlands for years, this is a very liberal country and gay marriage is normal here. I wonder what it will be like in the US.

I would like to say all is well here and to the most extent it is but with the way our president makes comments and treats haters and their actions, one must still remain vigilant of people that might want to hurt you. I hope that your new life here in the US will be one of love and peace. Good luck on your process.

Who do you refer to as "haters"?

"Life is a journey." At this moment, it's taking me to the USA to the woman I love.

Parabens on the wait finally being over. What a wonderful way to start the weekend. Enjoy the freedom from USCIS until you file the N400.  Fortunately the documentation and the wait is much more chill compared to AOS and ROC.

Those people that show disrespect to others who are different then themselves, those who discriminate, those who are fearful of anything different then their percieved idea of what is "normal".

Congrats to you. Unfortunately not all of us are done yet but hopefully getting closer. My husband's case is still pending the ROC and we recently were transferred as were others in our June 2018 group so we put on hold his N-400 filing thinking a decision on ROC would be soon like it was happening for many others in our group. Hopefully an answer soon and then on to the finish with N-400.

If you're on the June 2019 N400 filers post, this part is a repeat of my comment there: Wife's interview completed and her application approved yesterday! Not sure why, but they really seem to be pushing the processing. Our estimated interview time still shows as August 2020 on the https://myaccount.uscis.gov/ site, despite today's updates of interview completion and recommendation for approval. Oath Ceremony was scheduled on-site after her interview (Baltimore Field Office) and we got Thursday morning.  SO happy and grateful, because I have surgery scheduled for Thursday afternoon and it will be a relief going into that knowing that we don't have to worry about an Oath appointment during the time that I'm laid up (::knock wood::).  I'd reschedule if I had to, because this takes precedence; the surgery is planned not an emergency and I wouldn't make her wait a moment longer than necessary. I told her to take whatever they offered and we'd adapt.

She said her interviewer "was lovely" and first dealt with the civics test because he knew people stressed about that and he wanted to offer relief by getting it out of the way. He updated her post-application travel history and looked at our identification (birth certificates, passports). He barely touched on the relationship information in the application but did go through all of the questions related to moral character and allegiance. She was so comfortable with him that she asked if he wanted to see things like our marriage certificate or relationship proof, but he was satisfied with what he had reviewed in advance. She offered the fact that we've been together for 23 years and he asked why we took so long to get married; she responded that it wasn't legal and his response was "Oh yes, sorry, I forgot". One more step and we're done!  The staff at the Baltimore Field Office were great and we made sure to tell them so.

I had the same process. Civics test, updates, affirmations. I had my interview last Tuesday (Jan. 7th) and got a call on Thursday (9th) to let me know my Oath Ceremony had been scheduled for the following Monday (13th), and they were calling as the letter wouldn't arrive in time (it didn't, it arrived Monday afternoon late).

So within a week of my Interview, I was given the Oath of Allegiance with 600+ others in Plano, Texas. My husband was able to be there (he is in the middle of a work trip in another state). We briefly celebrated and then I drove him to the airport to head back to his work.

I want to reiterate that the staff at the USCIS offices EVERY TIME I've been there have been incredibly courteous, friendly and super nice. I think they get a bad wrap sometimes, and I wanted to add my support for their team. The Regional Field Director spoke (and swore us all in) at the ceremony on Monday, and it is clear that this client focused attitude is a model adopted throughout the entire organization (at least in Dallas).

Congratulations on the interview, and I hope the ceremony is scheduled soon for you. Take tissues! Even the toughest of new citizens will shed a tear or two during this incredibly emotional time.

We were treated very well throughout the whole process as well. My citizenship application last year (YES, UNDER President Donald Trump!!) took 5 months. So don't believe the liberal ####### you hear. I am gay AND black and FROM Africa.

It is not an easy process and you have to be VERY organized. Government employees like everything in order, submitted online clearly, well labelled and CORRECT. Don't make them hunt around for things.

Congratulations! And, it's so awesome that your husband could get time to return and attend with you.

They scheduled her ceremony on-site after the interview. It's tomorrow morning. The letter showed up in the online account today.
