Hi everybody! Just a little update, we received our NOA2 last night from TSC. Our PD was Dec. 10, so 2 weeks over the 5 month mark! We are onto the NVC stage now! I am so excited, I just cant believe it! Good luck to everyone! Hopefully everything will fly through quickly now!

Hi everyone. We have found out that we have CASE COMPLETE at the National Visa Center (IR-1/CR-1) as of June 4, 2014. Our case has been stuck at NVC since April 9th as they checklisted us for a document that was NOT required - and it took this long to prove to them (incumbent upon us to prove it, unfortunately) that it was not required.

We are now waiting for an interview slot in Sydney. We are both in Australia at the moment, so we will be able to attend the interview together.

We filed the day after DOMA fell - and it will have taken us more than ONE YEAR until Julie is able to enter the US with her Green Card.

Can't wait until that day when we can enter the US TOGETHER!

Hello every one, I really need your help

I sent e-notification along with my AOS packet

when USCIS received my application they sent me text message on the phone and e-mail notifying me that they received it.

couple of days ago I received my Employment Authorization Card by mail and they never notified me by sms or e-mail that they were going to mail it to me.

now I am a little worried, what if they scheduled green card interview date for me and they just did not notify me with sms or e-mail? how would I know it?

I can track my case number on USCIS web site but I heard sometimes they don't update it

any one has experience in this issue? thanks very much

Hi, sorry for the delayed reply, have been busy moving house so haven't been on here in a while!

Don't worry, many people will get the EAD/AP combo card without a text or email from USCIS.

The notification for interview or being selected for interview waiver always comes as a letter in the mail, so you will get hard copy well in advance of the interview date (if selected for interview).

Congrats to everyone who got their petitions approved already!

Me and my partner have been together for 4 years now. We got married last September and filed for AOS the end of November. We live in Chicago and our case has been processed at the national benefits center. We waited for six months to get interview date which was seethed up exactly 7 months after the acceptance date but only to find out that it was cancelled by uscis. We got both letters the same day which was really strange. 10 days after we got another letter with new appointment date. Now we are little bit concerned if we should go to the first scheduled date or just patiently to wait for the second one.

What you guys think?

Hello every one

I have applied for AOS and today i received by mail notice of potential interview waiver case.

so it means i might not have an interview to get my green card.

the letter also says my case might be delayed for 6 months from the date of that letter.

I just want to know is there any one who has experienced the same and is it really going to be delayed for 6 months?

We had the interview in Phoenix this Wed June 11th - after a long 90 min wait, the officer escorted us back and was very friendly and apologized for the long wait.

She said that she liked K-1 cases, since the Consulate/Embassy does all the hard work for them, so she didn't ask to look at any further documents or photos that we had brought. She asked the standard questions about criminal/terrorist activity and then told my husband, "Welcome to America!".

I was super relieved we didn't get a stern homophobe, haha!

I truly hope it goes just as smoothly for the rest of you!

this is great to hear. we have our interview next wednesay (18th) in Phoenix. have been pouring over the requirements and the questions that may be asked during the interview....however our documents are ready....our life is ready....just good news to hear that someone walked the path in front of us.

Congrats. That's good to hear. I hope when it comes time for our interview we get treated the same way. Arkansas is not too friendly to same-sex couples just yet. If we have to have an interview, it will be in Fort Smith.
