Congrats! I'm happy to hear that you got married and are starting a new life. :goofy:

Good luck with your Adjustment of Status application. :star:

You made the right decision by applying for a fiance visa instead of an IR-1/CR-1 Visa. I'm still waiting! LOL! :bonk:

Finally! The journey is fraught with uncertainty but definitely worth the trouble and the wait!

We need to buy shoes and hankies tomorrow after getting facials (no jokes please!). Keeping our fingers crossed that our wedding this weekend will be sunny and joyful. We already got the licenses from city hall 2 weeks ago.

AFTER TRAVELING BACK AND FORTH LIKE A MAD MAN IN LOVE SINCE 2014 I FINALLY HAVE A CHANCE TO BE WITH THE ONE I LOVE. OUR INTERVIEW DATE IS MAY 22ND 2014 AND I AM SO NERVOUS BUT OVERALL THIS HAS BEEN A RATHER QUICK PROCESS FOR US. I'M JUST WONDERING IF ANY OTHER SAME SEX CASES HAVE BEEN APPROVED AND COME OUT OF SANTO DOMINGO WHICH IS A SOMEWHAT CATHOLIC CONVERSATIVE CARRIBEAN ISLAND NATION YET IN DIRECT CONTRADICTION IS ONE OF THE MOST GAY FRIENDLY DESTINATIONS IN THE REGION AND HAS A VERY VIBRANT GAY SCENE! We are also a male same-sex couple. Our interview is on Thursday. Wish us well and that we will be approved. We have been together almost 5 years. Remember the current Ambassador is gay and has hus husband with him in Santo Domingo. I am sure they will treat us with respect.

I WISH YOU THE BEST! I am sure everything will work out for you guys. Me and my partner have been together since 2010. Please keep me informed. I would love to share experiences about the interview process and how the process of filing has gone for you.

On the DS-260 where it asks about previous marriages, do I include details about a previous civil partnership? When we got married, the registrar said he didn't need to see the dissolution certificate but I will be submitting it to the NVC. Our lawyer reckons, because it was not a marriage, it's not important but I don't want to trip up at the NVC stage.
