We are so excited that we have reached this point in the process. Now we just wait for the London embassy to set the interview date. Wish we could schedule it ourselves like some other embassies, but have read it is on average 75 days from their receipt of the file until the interview. Hoping that since we got everything in right away it speeds things up. We took the plunge and put down a deposit on our venue for the Spring now that the case is at this point. They now want their press agency to write about us because they were so touched by our story which is so validating and exciting! Power to binational LGBT couples!

After about half a month of inactivity, our case has finally moved in Hong Kong. I received Packet 3 last week and mailed it back, the same day I went to the Police to get the criminal background check. Yesterday, I received Packet 4 with the interview date set on January 14, 2013. It mentions in the letter that the date can only be changed under circumstances of extreme hardship. I also made appointment for the medical exam. Other than that, I am just nervous about the interview. Fiance is coming to attend the interview together, so I will have to call the consulate to make arrangement.

Wooo! Wooo! Finally, I got an approval. Yeppy!!! I am so happy, happy and relief. I thought ours wouldn't get approved, because it took this long. And next month I am going to see my fiance. I should be there for the interview and hope to bring her back with me to the USA.

Please....try not to be nervous about the interview...it is your opportunity to share your story...a story you know well. You will do well. HK rocks.

What do you mean it doesn't let you Sign and Submit? Is the button not working or does it give you an error when you click Submit?

Signing and submitting is the very last part - after you've uploaded the photo requirement and reviewed all your entries.

Got our MNL case # by calling NVC, paid visa fee, and got interview date scheduled for Feb 2014. Medical, affidavit of support and other documents next on the to-do list.
