This is odd or maybe a sign from the universe, when I was leaving the YMCA earlier a kid my son was playing with asked for a ride home and I said sure. I get in the car and the verdict is on the radio so I turn it down. (my attempt at sensitivity) He says, "that's all they've been talking about today". I say yeah. He says "people get murdered all the time, they don't put that on TV." I said you what, that's very true.

This coming from a 13 year old African American kid.

I think maybe there's hope for all of us, because he had a whole other take on the spectacle that made a lot of sense.
