1. TM's ONLY injury aside from the gunshot wound was skinned knuckles. Medical examiner's report

2. GZ had a bleeding, swollen nose (photo)

3. GZ was bleeding from the back of his head in two places (photo)

4. TM was seen on top of GZ swinging his arm a few seconds before the gunshot (Independent witness)

The evidence shows that GZ was violently attacked and that the attack was in progress just before the gunshot. Thus, it would be classy for the parents of the attacker to apologize that their son attacked a stranger which led to this trial and this shooting.

What EVIDENCE have you seen that shows differently?

I never indicated that I believed one side or another.....I continue to believe it was a lot conflicting evidence and could not make a decision one way or another. I just wanted to see what "your opinion" of the facts were.

Notwithstanding the evidence you mentioned, GZ also refused medical treatment and without any medical personnel testimony on record, I will continue to have doubts of how "violently" he was attacked.

At the end of the day, I believe the Jury in the fact that case was not proven beyond a "reasonable doubt", as with most cases with a lot of conflicting evidence. Nonetheless, you make statements of fact as of you actually witnessed this incident first hand and we both know, that is not the case.

Martin's parents lost their child but still respected the system and verdict is not "class".

That is minimum expectation of the outcome of any legal proceeding.

Apologizing for the actions of their son who violently attacked a stranger would be Classy.

I think losing their son was enough of a payment.

The loss of a violent attacker has no value as payment

Acknowledge what happened

Acknowledge their son's part in it

Drop the issue

My opinion does not matter. It is the law that matters and the jury followed the rule of law.

i don't get it.

Exactly my point!

Stating GZ was "violently attacked" was your opinion and we both can clearly agree in the fact that.....Your opinion does NOT matter!

The jury did in fact follow the rule of law and determined the evidence was not proved beyond a "reasonable doubt". Let's not jump to conclusions and make facts out of matters that were in dispute, and still in dispute.

If anyone should be apologizing, it should be the prosecutors. They should apologize to GZ for allowing a bunch of outside racists to influence their decision to even prosecute this case.

Well, this just shows how naïve your are in the criminal court justice system in America! We put facts in dispute in front of an impartial jury and have them make a decision on which version of the facts that believe to be true.

We don't live and shouldn't live in a society where one individual is the judge, jury and executioner!

No, it seems we have a society where the justice system can be influenced by a bunch of racists and someone can be hauled into court and forced to defend themselves against trumped up charges. If me having a problem with that makes me naive, then so be it.

Two cuts, bloody nose = taking a life, plus an apology given by the parents?

I hope you don't ever have to apply this kind of logic yourself...remember karma can be a cruel b!tch.

But continue being insensitive...it's your prerogative.

Now the justice system isn't influenced by racism or racist? That's freaking hilarious.

Look up naive...

Hey genius, I was quoting another post. And yes in this case the justice system was influenced by racism and racists. If TM was white, there never would've been a trial.

RGinWA,

I think your words will carry little weight with this type of individual....,If you look at one his prior reviews of his own case, he stated "The frickin chinese ####### interrogated my wife", regarding how his wife was interviewed by Immigration officials.

Need I say anymore......
