Please dont move! i posted this in another section and no one has helped me :(.

Hello all, this is my story: I have already filed an I-130 for my wife and that has been expedited at the uscis, then the NVC, and has already arrived at the embassy. Then I filed a separate I-130 for my stepson (plans has changed, which is why I didn't file them together). It arrived at uscis on June 25 and I requested expedite on July 1st. I have not heard anything back from them yet. Not even an email with a fax number so I can send more information and evidence. The first tier 2 I spoke with submitted the request and said I'd receive an email with a fax number to send paperwork to. No such email has been sent to me. I talked to a tier 2 again today and he said I should hear a reply by July 16, or possibly up to 1 August!!! Does it really take 30 days to send an email with a fax number?? Am I being screwed over here or what? I KNOW i will not receive a reply by the 16th but there is nothing the tier 2s will do to help me until that day. Anyone have experience with this? By the way, this expedite is for military reasons, and I've read here that those often get approved within days of the request being made. Thanks for any reply.

I have. They are dragging their feet too. I submitted all my documents on July 2 to my local congressman....and a week later he said he still hasn't submitted anything to uscis. Im going to call him on monday but have a sick feeling he'll say he hasn't done anything yet. Ive tried both avenues and I'm lost as to what else I can do :(

Besides buggin the carp out of him that's all you can do unfortunately. Do you have any friends that rank higher or in the officer ranks that could also pull strings for you? (Yeah i know officers aren't supposed to fraternize with enlisted.)

I am an officer. I have a letter from my commander which I am using as evidence as to why it should be expedited. It just doesn't make sense to me because my wife's case was expedited extremely quickly (again, with help from the congressman) It seems like a no-brainer that my stepsons case would be expedited so they can immigrate together (and for the military reasons that my wife was expedited for). A month to reply back to an expedite sounds like a foul, am I wrong?? Ahhhhhhhhhhh

Oh well then. I have no idea what the hold up is about. I'm sorry for assuming you were enlisted (to be honest, I've never met an officer but I know a lot of enlisted [or were])

Filed: IR-5 Timeline

I also made an expedite request in the morning of 8th, but haven't received any email of text. Spoke with uscis on Friday and the rep said to call back after a week by simply asking when I made the request. I hear people getting the confirmation emails which I didn't get. So I am assuming, they are not sending confirmation recently.

Also, my case never got transferred to local office. It's still at NBC.

2 things..

1) :time::D

2) it takes 2-3 months for the transfer to happen.

and to add one more to make it 3.. My lucky number

3) anything under 90 days is considered VERY quick because of the timeline it takes for the transfer to happen. That means the NBC has adjudicated the case themselves.

Ok more information regarding this: I talked to a tier 2 today because they told me to call after the 16th. Well the tier 2 said the reason that my case HASNT EVEN BEEN LOOKED AT for expedite review is because it is sitting in a mail room and no one knows that it needs to be expedited until they pick it up and open it. Is this real?? I've seen many cases of petitions being looked at within days of the expedite request. If what the tier 2 says is right, then t won't be looked at for months before it is finally expedited. This seems like a BS answer. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

I agree a BS answer. I wish I could say more things to do beyond suggested but I'm not sure to be honest.

Update: the congressman guy said he's waiting for a phone call back from uscis regarding the decision. And I talked to a tier 1 at uscis today and they said someone was finally assigned to my case on the 17th. Finally getting somewhere with this

Mod: please keep this one and delete the other one because I'm more likely to get help in this section

I submitted an I-130 on June 25 and requested expedite on July 1 by calling uscis. I still have not received any email or fax number for which to send evidence. I was told that my case was assigned to someone on the 17th of July, but that's it. It's been nearly a month since I requested expedite and I see other people getting accepted within days. What is the problem here?? I haven't received a denial either.

I also submitted evidence to my congressman on July 2, to attack this from 2 directions, and he hasn't heard anything either. Anyone have any advice? Thanks.

By the way, my case is at the national benefits center and has a MSC code
