get every H visa salary 2008 to now and sponsors

Fact is that we dont know how much we are worth in the US. It is common practice to simply hide these information and as a result you are likely to undersell your value as you dont know and just hope to be taken in at all. The H visa has to be within the range of prevailing wage and somehow even compare to salaries in that city, true, but the spread is still significant.

http://www.thesalarypeople.com displays every H visa salary there is in the US, 2008 to now. It allows you to see what others did get for a given job description, even at a given firm you apply for, or all the numbers for a given city.

Take the job title Data Analyst in Houston,TX and just look at the spread there is. Between the prevailing wage of 50k a year there is everything up to well above 100k a year.

So if you start salary negotiations just remember this spread, never go BELOW what you see here, ever, and try to hit the median or mean of salaries to feel comfortable and welcome in the US.

What is the point of paying median rates, if you were going to do that just hire an American.
