Rodney King involved official misconduct of police officers in a society which has been disarmed by the government.

It was not about a private individual defending himself from another private individual in a society which is armed. The difference will be apparent.

Sure, but that is civil. You mean fi nding an attorney that wants to get famous? Oh, you betcha! Probably more likely to result in a a settlement with money donated to GZ. The settlement will be less than the donations and GZ will be wealthy

From the profiling aspect of the initial phone call by GZ, he's interjected his own personal biased against certain types of people being "suspicious" by them just standing somewhere? That's the definition of a racial component. Especially when you see all his neighbors and witnesses are multiracial and he's reporting a suspicious "black male" when it could be a freaking neighbors relative?

I'd say race relations in Florida are pretty bad.

In Washington State anyone could be a dirt bag criminal, so the police harass and profile everyone equally.

I'd be for this just to listen to the seething angst from the GZ supporters. And just think, the GZ vs TM threads would continue for another year. That's kind of comforting.

I think there might be an fiasco in Florida no matter what the verdict is.

What a silly remark. Here is a log of every 911 call he ever made. Was the call about the 2 Hispanics and the white male with a slim jim also racially motivated? The female in the truck yelling at old people?

Why is it not cultural. I live in a place where almost all the crime is committed by young black males. In almost every picture they are under 25, wearing baggy pants and hoodies. Why would someone that fit the age, manner of dress, and race of the people who had been committing the crime in the neighborhood not draw attention. It was out of place. He fit the profile. he was unknown and just standing around in the rain. Certainly more suspicious than the black neighbor of Georges walking to the mailbox. Remember the one who testified what a good guy GZ was.

Looks do mater. A black friend of mine told me once. The people at the bank treat me different when I go in dressed nice and talk White, then when i go in and work clothes and use slang. I told him, No shat they do me also.

Yeah, they don't care if you lie in court in a conspiracy to hide funds in an effort to get your bail reduced; especially if your original high profile case is dismissed.
