Until some heads roll over Fast and Furious and the Benghazi massacre, I personally think the admin should sit down and shut up! How can the admin hold a civilian accountable when they refuse to hold their own cabinet members accountable for murder/manslaughter? Their intervention will be nothing less than an attempt to further divide the races and income classes!

From the profiling aspect of the initial phone call by GZ, he's interjected his own personal biased against certain types of people being "suspicious" by them just standing somewhere? That's the definition of a racial component. Especially when you see all his neighbors and witnesses are multiracial and he's reporting a suspicious "black male" when it could be a freaking neighbors relative?

I'd say race relations in Florida are pretty bad.

In Washington State anyone could be a dirt bag criminal, so the police harass and profile everyone equally.

I'd be for this just to listen to the seething angst from the GZ supporters. And just think, the GZ vs TM threads would continue for another year. That's kind of comforting.

Not sure if you're aware of this, but the police usually use a persons race when they are describing someone. Black male, white female, Hispanic male, etc. I guess all cops are racist as well?

In fact the 911 dispatcher asked him if the suspicious person was "White, Black, or Hispanic" Zimmerman didn't even say "black" definitively. He said, "He looks black" How is that interjecting his own personal bias. He was asked a question and answered it truthfully. Should he have said he looks white?

Well done. Another race baiting post from you with no accurate facts. It's sad really. Some people want this to be about race so badly. How about spending some time reading about the evidence in this case before throwing around wild race based accusations? Try being part of the solution and not the problem.

No, won't happen.

Obama will make a big stink and a lot of speeches and in the end the result will be the same as the new federal gun laws. It will fade away and disappear.

Why?

Because GZ is a private citizen. He is not a police officer or a government official. He has no official authority to "abuse" as the police officers in LA had. Even though private individuals, racist Democrats in the 1960s, were charged with civil rights violations it was only after proving a conspiracy and even then involved official corruption with local law enforcement. GZ simply has no liability to support a civil rights conviction. By comparison they would have to show that GZ conspired with the prosecutor, police and the judge to deprive TM of his civil rights before doing it.

PLUS, if he is acquitted under self defense then the Feds have to prove he took an action against TM because he was black that he would not have taken against a white guy bashing his head on the sidewalk. Good luck with that. To support CR violations the action must be based on race. If the self defense is upheld you have to prove he would not have shot a white guy doing the same thing to him. Beyond reasonable doubt. To a jury of 12 people from Florida.

The government is obligated to do all it can to appease racists, but it will amount to lip service, a few speeches, some black children assembled around Obama...TMs mother dragged around on display...and then nothing.

The most obvious proof of this is the statement that the Feds will do this "IF zimmerman is acquitted" as if the acquittal itself makes him guilty of civil rights violations. Either he is or he isn't. If he violated TMs civil rights then he should have been charged with that before and he should go from one trial to the next without consideration for the otucome of the first trial. Imagine if he had killed someone in another state and that state said "We will charge him with murder IF he is acquitted of that other murder" Seriously?

What the Feds are considering is a puppet show of speeches. Same as gun control, healthcare and environmental issues

There will be no Federal charges and no fiasco in Florida. Lots of political noise and smoke though. Probably a civil lawsuit (why not?) and nothing else
