Hubby went on interview, everything went well. He received a letter stating that we need a sponsor. He is to bring back that information and his passport and drop then off at the embassy document collection center and pick up his passport in 5 business days. i was wondering do this I-864A form need to be the original. I was trying to expidite time, where as I can scan everything to him and he print it out or should I go ahead and mail it to him.

I-864 is what you should be using not the I-864A.

Mail him the original and a photocopy, they will want originals.

Original is a must. Scan and email him a copy as well. Send it via express mail, I know it will cost and arm and a leg but at this point it is what it is. So happy all went well for you.

Just remember to put your case number on any documents you send. Keep a copy for yourself. GO over what and everything they are asking for prior to mailing it out. I know at this point you are anxious and want this over with but making sure you double check everything is important.

Good luck!

any government form requiring a signature must be original signature,

so your path of 'scanning' then 'emailing' won't work.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
