The embassy received my stepdaughters packet 3 and right away scheduled our interview for Aug 8th. This military expedite really works. They mentioned to bring the $230 fee for the application, but they didn't mentioned anything about the $88 for the affidavit of support. Should I bring it anyway?

How did you receive packet 3 in the first place? My wife's case has also been expedited through uscis and NVC. The embassy hasn't sent anything to her. Only called her and told her to come to the embassy so she can get the signed form before her medical appointment. Maybe it's different for each embassy? And yes I'd bring the 88.

Oh yea and we don't have an interview date yet.

These things are usually specific to each embassy. I wouldn't rely on anything that is found here in the Thai portal. Additionally the O P has an expedited case where things are done differently.

That portal? What? And my case has also been expedited. I'm confused lol. This is military section right?

Thai portal**

I found the post in the Thai portal area. It may occur in another forum as you say. Still its Thai related so I would be careful with what info applies to your embassy.

For all military people my hope is that everything goes very well in those cases.

At the top of this page you'll see a link "Portals" If you click that, it will take you to the Panama portal since that is the country you selected in your profile. It shows you things like the last 5 topics started by Panama members, newest Panama members, and top posting Panama members. Try it, it's fun!!

I just got a reply from the IV unit at the embassy stating that they will not collect a fee to file the affidavit of support. NVC normally collects those fees and since our case was expedited as far as they are concerned the NVC didn't get to collect it and they don't intent to. Just saved $88! :)
