Hi. I just wanna ask if someone has the same situation on mine. My Mother who is a Permanent Resident filed I-130 for me but under the financial benefits of my sister who is a Nurse at Sacramento. She just filed the I-130 last week and they told my sister that in this week, they will already get the receipt which would be my case number. I am 20 years old now and will be turning 21 next year on July. That is really my concern. And oh! I also have a son but I'm not married. How long would it take for the I-130 to be approved? Because they said that if you have all the documents that need to be passed, the faster the development of the petition. Is that true? Because I'm really aging out next year. I'm afraid that I would not be there before I turn 21 and the financial effort of my sister will just be wasted.

It would my pleasure if someone would be answering my concerns.

For now, it takes 12 months or more for USCIS to approve i-130. The longer they delay your i-130 approval, the better for you as a child of LPR.

CSPA will come into play when your case is approved and forwarded to the National Visa Center.

Until then, all you can do is wait.

But when my sister filed I-130 for my parents, I was listed there as their dependent. And they thought that I will be coming with my parents when they go to US. Sooner, the NVC called my sister that only my parents can petition me. That's why when they arrived in US and waited for the GC, they decided to file me an I-130 quickly because I am turning 21 next year.

I really hope that CSPA will be applied on me. Thank you! :)
