Hello Guys! I know this question been asked many times, but I can't find anything that give me the right answer. Here is the situation, my sister is going to apply for a tourist visa, I know that I don't need to petition her but I have to send my ITR is that right? If that's the case I am sure my ITR is not enough in the Poverty GUideline because I am not working right now. Does this affect my sisters tourist visa application? Or can I get a co sponsor? And is there anybody here who have experience tourist visa? Thanks....

She needs none of that that U mentioned, she needs to have a good steady job at home, property

showing mortgage or leasel agreement, letter from her employer, bank account proving she can

afford a vacation, if she has a husband or kids at home not travelling with her that may help, but the

burden is only on her to PROVE she will return home after the visit, I don't think its a good idea to

mention U now have no job unless she's asked. Invitation letters sometimes lead a CO to believe

the applicant have migration intention, however all answers have to be truthful as its stays in the

USCIS computer for ever and lying can mess up someone at another interview, another time

Your sister needs nothing from you. The tourist visa is on her merit alone. No sponsors or anything like that.

it's correct that your friend's sister MIGHT have done that, and it's absolutely correct that your friend told you.

other than that, no, that's not how chasing a tourist visa works.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I have no job right now and I saw the poverty guideline our income does not met the requirement, does this affect my sisters application?

Will you study how to chase a tourist visa, and give your sister the proper information?

One of a friend of my sister told her that I need to submit the ITR in the consul together with the invitation letter, is that correct?

Bunch of bad information.

Here: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwhniv7.html

Excerpt:

The following documents are not considered helpful:

  • In general, affidavits of financial support will be of little value to an applicant (exception: a student visa application must have an affidavit of financial support). The affidavit of support is a requirement only for immigrant visas. The interviewing officer is less concerned about how the applicant will be supported during his/her stay in the United States than in whether s/he has reasons to return home.
  • Letters of invitation (except for business travel).
  • Purchase of airline ticket. This should not be made until a visa has been issued and the applicant is in receipt of the passport with the visa in it.

No because you have nothing to do with your sister's visitor visa application. You and your financial situation and tax returns are not relevant for the purpose of the visitor visa.
