Thank so much for the quick reply! and CONGRATS!!! on being reunited in just a few short days!

I am the USC and my fiance is in Buenos Aires. Did you fiance not need to submit anything for #9 in Packet 3?

9. (___) MILITARY RECORD: A certified copy of any military record, if applicable, is required. Submit your
“Libreta de Enrolamiento” or the ORIGINAL DNI (National Identity Document) showing your name, photo, and
the military stamps stating the period and place served. If you do not have your “Libreta de Enrolamiento” or
your ORIGINAL DNI, please contact the appropriate Military authority in order to request a letter from them
stating that your military situation is regularized. The duplicate, triplicate DNI is not accepted as it does not
have the ORIGINAL military stamp stating whether the military service was done or not.
That is where we are currently stuck. I'm about to call the embassy just to see if they can give me any information, but any personal experience you or your fiance may have would be great!

2014-07-11: Packet 3 received from Buenos Aires Embassy

2014-10-07: Packet 3 sent (after long wait gathering documents in Argentina)

2014-10-21: Packet 4 received from Buenos Aires Embassy & interview scheduled

2014-10-27: INTERVIEW: K1 Visa APPROVED! :dancing:

2014-11-07: POE in Houston, TX & arrival into Denver, CO

2014-11-10: MARRIED :luv:

2014-11-14: AOS Paperwork Submitted

2014-11-20: NOA received for receipt of AOS Paperwork

Thank you! We're both excited. :)

No he never served in the military, so that was never relevant for us. Basically if he/she does not have the military records on hand, then they need to contact the department (like how we have army/navy/air force/marines) and officially request the document they specified. He/She can likely go to the capital to pick up the paper once it's ready.
