A copy of the USC tax return will show filing single also. But if the USC has been married before a divorce decree or death certificate will keep CFO totally happy, and is what CFO actually asks to see.

this CENOMAR is the proof of singleness of the USC in the PH.

this would be the best proof to CFO to show that their fiance is not married to anyone in the PH

and the ITR to prove that the usc is not married to anyone in the US..

CFO only asks for proof of singleness without even saying they are looking for a cenomar or ITR.. then the others would wonder wth is it?

there's even no proof of singleness in the US but PH has...and that is CENOMAr..

it's up to the others now if they want to get this or not. im not forcing anyone to get this if u think it is not necessary.. :)

Kind of too late now, as she already is prepared with everything, and will be too busy to make another trip to the NSO for that, not to mention the wait time for picking it up. But I'll let you know if they ask for it. At least it's good she's going to this ahead of our NOA2 in case the CFO gets weirder and send her back (a major reason she is in fact).

CFO will not ask for a proof of singleness if the petitioner was divorced.only if they were never married..

just like what the rest are saying, the ITR will suffice.. as long as CFO is satisfied with that, then there should be no problem..

I think Robb/Ann's point is that the USC tax return only proves singleness in the US. Someone could very well be married to someone else in Philly and the US would never know it. But that could go with any country really, and I'm sure the CFO won't want a proof from every nation on the planet. :D

I'll just go with the tax transcript. Even the CFO has to be reasonable to a point.

CFO has been given copies of tax returns (don't forget to black out private information) before to "prove" singleness and were satisfied. So you will be fine. They have never asked for a CENOMAR from a USC.

CFO:

ALL exiting required to attend.

There have been changes regarding CFO so for sure read through their website.

Update: Please check the schedule of the counseling session before proceeding to CFO because it is country-specific and the slots are LIMITED; 15 per session (two sessions per day) for Manila and 12 per session (only one session a day) for Cebu. It is on a first-come-first-serve basis.

CFO Online Registration Form: http://www.cfo.gov.ph/pdf/downloadable%20forms/registrationform.pdf Complete this and print a copy to bring to the CFO seminar, it will save you time. It has been posted recently that even if you complete the online form you will still be required to complete another form at CFO... not sure why.

The beneficiary (Filipina) is the only one required to attend as it is a Philippine requirement.

CFO has no connection with the visa process so it can be completed before the NOA2 if you so choose.

There is a link in my signature below everyone of my posts that takes you to the K-1 visa process... PLUS information for completing CFO.

You are done after the guidance session, which is 12 Noon (or 5 PM if you go to the afternoon one). They give you the certificate right then, with info on bringing it back for the CFO sticker once you get the visa, which only takes a few minutes.
