Hey - that's great ! Some administrivia stuff for you, to fix yer timeline, at the moment:

1. change yer consulate from Armenia to Afghanistan (or whatever US Consulate Country the interview will occur)

2. change yer service center from Texas Service Center to National Benefits Center (MSC).

3. fill out the rest of the data bits for NVC Doc intake

I got my interview on August 4, 2013. Unbelievable!!!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Congrats Meera Jan on getting the interview date... Are you planning on going to the interview with your husband? I think that with a CR-1 you can attend the interview. I wasn't able to attend because we were getting the K1 Visa...

Now about the AP process... from what I have been hearing and what the counselor told my fiance after his interview is that all males get place on mandatory AP from Afghanistan. I think that when your family members came that was 15-30 years ago and things have change since then... now as far as the females they usually don't place them on AP only a few will get placed on AP... But all males have been getting placed on AP.

My fiance had his interview on the 29th of May and he was placed on AP and we don't know how long it's going to take... Hopefully it won't be that long and hopefully you guys will not have to wait that long either..

Again not to take away from you day... Just think one day at a time and Insha'allah everything will be ok...

Take Care

Myra

What? Hahaha. No. My cousin applied for a Cr-1 visa in November 2010. His wife came here by April 2011.

So no, they DID NOT apply 15-30 years ago. I said that their families have been here for a while.

Sorry, but you're mistaken. Also, one of my close family friends applied for a FIANCE visa in January 2011 and by January 2012, her fiance was here. And all of this was from Afghanistan. So once again, no it was not 15-30 years ago.

Khaira

Congrats on your interview date....be aware that males R put in AP 95% of

the time from MENA countries including yours since 9/11...just keep up that

positive attitude and be pleasant, honest & stress-free at the interview a few

ppl gets no AP....I think the date is correct Sundays is a regular working day there

Hi

Usually, the USCIS is quick with those responses. I sent my i-130 in September 2012 and was sent to NVC by December 14 2012. So mine took 3 months. I would call them on a weekly basis to see where in the process the case is. Its always good to keep calling them just to check. But you may be hearing from them in the next month or so.

Meera

Meera jan and myra&ashiq, i filed for my husband in feb. 2012 and he did have his interview in Kabul in feb. 2013. He has been placed under the infamous AP since. I will update my timeline as soon as I figure out how to lol I am new to this forum. I have not seen him for 1 year and 7 months. Do u guys know if will affect our case? Like the longer we go without seeing them, they will question the authenticity of the relationship? Our marriage is very much genuine. It's just that I have so much obligations here I can't just get up and leave when I want to. I'm curious about other members on here...how long did u go without seeing ur significant other?

Maht Jan, I don't think that it will be a problem with not being able to come and see your husband.. I'm sure they understand that it's not easy to come to Afghanistan to visit.. As long as you are communicating with your spouse and keeping in touch via phone, e-mail, skype, and your able to show proof of that it shouldn't be a problem.. And your interview has already passed so they won't be asking for anymore proof.. unless they as for a second interview then that's when they might as for on going proof... But you should be ok...

Meera Jan,

I don't know exactly how they decide whom they place on AP.. But usually 95% of all males get placed on AP from Afghanistan from what I have been hearing.... should your husband be the lucky 5% only GOD Knows... Best of luck and hopefully we shall all get through this waiting process soon...

Genesis 2:22-24
Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman, ' for she was taken out of man." Thanks, jaan. I will. I was wondering where I can message you so I can ask if you received any news. So, its good to hear from you. I emailed the embassy once more and my husband called the US embassy in Afghanistan asking about it. After a week, they sent me email that I have been scheduled. I will for sure let you know how the interview goes once it has passed. Insha'alla he will get approved for visa. I also asked the embassy yesterday whether they can tell me chances of my husband getting placed in AP. And the consulate officer simply said, "If you follow all directions and your answers at the interview match what has been on the applications and the embassy knows that you are not lying or your case is not fraud, you won't be placed in AP" So I will be praying. I have my cousin here in America who got a fiance visa for her fiance and her fiance was here within 6-7 months. It was so surprising for me because I thought it would at least take about a year or so. But, please keep in touch. So we can update each other.

salam jaan, ur sooo welcome dear i am soo happy for u and in sha allah everything will be perfectly alright. I am surprised how the consulate replied to your email so fast. usually they take so long to reply to me but again it all depends on the availability of consulates. and thanks a lot for sharing with me how u got the interview. i willl email consulate right now and ask them one more time because i am waiting since May 11th 2013 and its just soo frustrating cause whenever i email them, they just say we r back logged and will let you know soon. hopefully we get the interview date by end of this month in sha allah. and goodluck with everything. I will for sure keep u updated and keep in touch as well. :)

Laila.
