Sad that it had to be explained? Or the photo? Probably both.

Yet I noticed the death and photo has little effect on some attitudes. That is sad in of itself.

Why should that picture change my belief in what happened and why. I already knew he was dead and have said it is a tragedy, a picture does not change that.

As I have said a million times, he would walk if I was on the jury and I think he should. However i can say that I think he may not. If he does not , we all need to move on as a nation.

If he does walk.,same thing. Accept the verdict and let's move on.

I do think if somehow he gets 2nd degree it will be over turned quickly

The 2nd degree murder charge is total bs. But they were so desperate to charge him with something due to the backlash that they probably decided to charge him for 2nd degree and hope that the jury gets him for manslaughter and they save face with their critics.

As many of us have said over and over and over. This is the law. The extent of his injuries, if he followed etc etc have nothing to do with the law.

Some people can not comprehend or can't understand or read or whatever .

however, to justify the use of deadly force, the appearance of danger must have been so real that a "reasonably cautious and prudent person" under the same circumstances would have believed that the danger could be avoided only through the use of that force. Based upon appearances.

Do you consider a person who trains for 18 months in a gym, yet still can't throw a punch "reasonably cautious or prudent" if he gets out of his car to follow a suspected criminal at night, down a dark alley? It's not illegal, but its not reasonable or prudent.

Out of the two people involved I'd say GZ is the least "reasonable" person. What GZ believes is actual death in his mind from his brief 40 second fight is not what most people would consider "reasonable".

Face it, anyone GZ ever confronted was going to possibly get shot based on how paranoid and weak Mr. Softy really is.

He's the absolute worst person to carry a weapon...it made him seem invincible when obviously he was not and a person died because he put on his Superman cape.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

I don't see how that applies to Zimmermann.

Of course you don't.

Of course you don't.

Doesn't really matter whether I do or don't. Just as it dosn't matter whether you do or don't. All that matters is whether those six jurors believe that what Zimmermann did was what a reasonable an prudent person would have done. If they do, he will walk. If they do not, he will be walked handcuffed to prison. And whatever the outcome, that's it. It's over.

Nothing gets overturned quickly in this country.

I meant comparatively quickly. Like my geology professor use to say.

This happned very quickly in geology terms. only 4 million years. LOL

Thank goodness.

let me clarify. when i said 'here' - i meant 'visa journey'

That's cool - no way to do any virtual war-profiteering 'here', alas.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
