My co-sponsor asked if he can block out the social security numbers on his tax return, for a security issue.

Is that ok?

It is better not to obscure anything but yes he can... why though? It's going to the government, they know his SSN already.

No. He should not black out anything. He is submitting the documents to the US government. They already have his SSN. He needs to submit exact copies and not altered documents.

I guess he is not worried about the goverment.. its more about the papers coming to Brazil in the mail..
