Does NVC send me (the petitioner) a letter?

Well they are supposed to send a letter with the MNL # , but most call or email to get that long before the letter arrives. I do suggest emailing NVC to get the MNL # as that will give you a correspondence from NVC with the MNL # and the beneficiary's name to make SLEC happy.

The CFO Guidance and Counseling Session is probably the most talked about and feared/hated part of the post-NOA2 process, although I haven't read any comments about it from Filipino-Filipino couples...

Anytime, I would suggest getting it done before the interview, so that its done (then you only need to go back for the sticker), unless you are not in a rush after you receive the visa, then do it once you have the visa and then will put the CFO sticker in the passport at the same time.

Did you live in a another country for 6 months or more from the age of 16 and older? Take your time and read the instructions letter a couple times.... slowly. There is a link to it in English and Tagalog.

From the embassy instructions letter:

OTHER COUNTRY POLICE CERTIFICATES. Applicants aged 16 years and older must also present police certificates from other countries where they have lived for six (6) months or more after reaching the age of 16. As with NBI clearances, foreign police certificates should be obtained in any maiden names, aliases or nicknames used while in the country in question, including different spellings you have used of those names. Country-specific information on how to secure police certificates is available on the State Department’s website at http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_3272.html.

Does NVC send me (the petitioner) a letter?

I was surprised to receive the NVC letter today. It's dated 7/3, and my NOA2 was 6/13. My Fiancee will bring a copy of it to St. Luke's, since [i think] I've read that they've been asking for it...

Yup SLEC likes to see a letter from NVC or USEM with the MNL # on it, they didn't push on it too hard in the past, but lately....

Partly why I suggest emailing NVC to get the MNL # as that email will suffice.

Thank you! I will email them just to be safe. Will my paystub of May15-present suffice? In section 7 of the Affidavit of Support where it says I derive an annual income of : do you put the amount of your yearly salary before or after taxes? Also when you send a copy of proof of singleness for the CFO can I block out my salary on my pay stub?

Gross income, before taxes.

Blocking out you income I think would be fine, also block out your SSN also for CFO.
