Hi all,

Filing K-1 in Vietnam.

The interview date is after NOA2 Expiration date.

Interview date: 8/9/2013

NOA2 expiration date: 7/26/2013

Please let me know if this will be an issue. If so, how should I resolve such matters.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE!

Usually not a problem, the embassy/consulate can extend the expiration date. Consider verifying the extension with the embassy/consulate.

For that answer and more, refer to the DOS Nonimmigrant K-1 Fiance(e) Visa FAQs:

Good luck.

The 797 Notice form is used for many different uses. For the K-1, the expiration date is meaningless.

Oh, i did not know that. Thanks a lot.

Just to be safe, I did research on other threads and ended up emailing the US consulate in Vietnam asking if this expiration date on this form has been extended.
