Actually you opened the thread asking for no comments or debates and then proceeded to give your comments and debate (see below). If you can't follow your own rules in your very first post, why would you expect others to?

I know we had one but it drifted and has gone way down the list.

Everyone please state their last Guess at Verdict.

Please everyone leave off the commits and debates. Do it in another thread. This will be our record.

I will go first.

I honestly don't have a strong feeling between Manslaughter and Not Guilty. No way 2nd degree Murder was proved.

I am going to go out on a limb and say not Guilty

with the caveat that a jury may do anything

I do think there is a chance for manslaughter albeit it a small one

I still maintain it should be used very sparingly. We have about 6 or 7 GZ threads. I made one just to have a record of verdicts. I said in the header to please just state your opinion on verdict and to leave debate on the case and the usual chatter to another thread.

The movie posts, weather posts started. I asked again .. I then asked again.

It's not that it went off topic, it was that it went off topic on page one and on purpose. The usual , "who me I am above the fray" instigators.

Now when a topic gets to page 3 and it naturally drifts no big deal

Dude, this isn't the same. The topic has been running for like a year now. If a thread drifts after 30 pages, someone creates a new one based on the same thing, and it immediately drifts, why are you surprised? Part of the fun of this is the community and jokes. You and I have thread drifted a few times and as a result I'm now able to like you more as a person even if I don't agree with your political ideologies.

IMO thread drift keeps things civil. The guys that never drift are usually the biggest d1ckheads anyway.
