Check the date on this, everyone - it's from November. In a post from yesterday , niceguy says he's married. So he must have met someone new and fallen in love again.

I'm confused. :\

I'm curious how they discover a mental problem and what constitutes it now though.

And like some people said, they don't care if you marry someone from your own country and they have a mental problem. Maybe the poor girl didn't even know she had what would be considered a mental problem by the Embassy doctor.

And at the same time they don't care if the USC has anything wrong with them either - just the foreigner. This whole process seems so one sided to me. I'm not bashing the program, I think it does make sense especially in a day when so many people just aren't honest with each other, but I just think it's one sided.

She wasn't denied the visa due to a mental problem. HE denied her due to the mental problem - he didn't want to marry her once he found out.

Yes, I understood that clearly but that doesn't negate what I was saying. I know they don't deny petitions based on just discovering that. BUT it's still important to them to figure out whether the foreigner has these problems, which is why I'm saying it seems so one sided - they don't care if the USC has them. I'm asking how they discover it and what constitutes what they call a mental problem.

Since then I have met another that I'm interested in so I’m wondering if I petition this person in the near future will this cause me a problem even though I

How about staying off the computer and meeting someone IRL who doesn't need a visa? I can truly understand falling in love with a person of another nationality (that's a no brainer) but to go back for seconds just seems like #######? to me.

You're worried about your kids? How about not placing them in a situation where you're inviting a veritible stranger into your home to live? Obviously the issue with your ex-fiancee proves that you are somewhat in the dark about things due to proximity...so why on earth you'd try it again seems completely unreasonable.

Also 'i've met another that I'm interested in' and now you're wondering about fiancee details. Kinda putting the cart before the horse, no? How about having it more than just an 'interest' before you start brainstorming how you can bring this unknown into your home with your KIDS.

I can understand niceguy that you have children.

Wondering how bad this mental disorder was. They have drugs to help out many problems here. Then people can live normal lives. Sometimes people just have a couple stress related problems that are consider mental when everything gets out of whack. USA citzens real misunderstand mental disorders. Lots of time its when your body chemicals get out of whack.

Anyway find someone to help you with the end of this process. All the best

Do you realize the irony in bumping a thread after 1 hour 46 mins to tell people to let it sink to the bottom?

;)

sorry, couldn't help myself.

Im probably posting on the wrong thread but whatever...same, same - well...the fact that she's not in the US is a plus but the OP still shouldnt have continued with the interview. He had to issue a new letter of intent and he didnt intend...false representation there.

Mrs BB: life isn't always so black and white, and I'd submit that none of us are in a position to make a "fraud" determination.

If you disagree with the guy's tactics, fine, and say so.

Otherwise it's much like the intent issue ever is---how do we know what was in his heart and mind as they did whatever it was they did do (which we still don't know)?

Its not just about me disagreeing with whatever's in his heart. He carried out a petition with no intentions of marrying her. (this we DO know)
