I guess because no one really knows, it's just guess work based on others experience, especially as USCIS seems to have zero methodology to their processing. From my. "guess work" it's taking between 6-8, however a few are 9, to get approved.

You are right and with this forum it makes it easier for us to vent our frustrations,these are some very agonizing waiting times.

Exactly, all I will say is try and be positive, calling a tier 2 seems to be a waste of time.

It seems (land only seems) that USCIS is getting better, and I would say the average wait time

would now be 7-8 months... Esp as they said they will try (try huh!) to get the time to 5 months by May, which would require clearing the backlog quickly!

I'm August 22nd and am MSC13917XXXXX

Based on the checks that I have just done, they are halfway through transferring the MSC13915XXXXXs

These things are not incremental (meaning, they are not all i-130 petitions - but rather different kinds of petitions).

Something tells me that August transfers will not kick off until at least the 27th of this month.

Yes our application was transferred to CSC on December 10.

Congratulations!!!

I feel alone in that batch transfer now...waiting.. I hope it breezes through for you from here on.

03/19/2014 - Service request to check on conversion request status.
04/04/2014 - Service request status through mail stating request received for conversion and file being prepared for transfer to local office.
04/08/2014 - I485 updated to "transferred to local office"
04/12/2014 - Received transfer notice in mail stating file transferred from Nebraska to NBC Lee Summit, Montana (so disappointed as I thought it was at local office now).
04/14/2014- emailed Nebraska and scopscata to see what's going on with file due to conflicting info I've gotten and NBC doesn't even show processing I485.
04/14/2014- Got response from scopscata saying will look into email, forward to resolution team.
04/14/2014- I485 updated to "485 was transferred and is now being processed at USCIS office"
04/25/2014- Text message and case update online "testing and interview" stage.
05/06/2014- Text message and case update online with interview date of June 11, 2014.
06/05/2014-Notice sent by NYC acting district director/office that interview date is Aug 21, 2014.....??????????? No change online
06/11/2014 - Interview for AOS. I130 was already attached. Approved and got passport stamped. YAY. Thank God.
06/19/2014 - Case updated online with text and email saying new card mailed.....

06/21/2014-Condtional GC received along with welcome letter.

after the case got transferred, how long did it take for the hard copy to come in regular mail?

I am kind of curious as to where I got transferred because I did not get any email/ text notification. Only change I observed was online.

My case was transferred on 1/3/14 and I received my hard copy on 1/6/14. I called USCIS to learn of my case transfer and I never received an email or text notification.

1/3/14---I-130 transferred to Nebraska Service Center (called USCIS @ 1:34 P.M. to receive update)

3/10/14--Received NOA2 via text message and email @ 2:30 P.M.

3/13/14--Case left USCIS via text message and email @ 8:15 A.M.

On January 8, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Our receipt date was July 9, so that is just about 6 months exactly.

YAYYYYYYYY!!!

My husband is in Chile, and was planning to come here in about a month on a tourist visa (yes, while his application was still pending, because he hasn't seen me and the kids in 4 months).

Does anyone know how long post decision activity takes? The Chilean consulate is fairly efficient. If he does come on the tourist visa, can he just stay here and do the interview here?

Somehow my last comment didnt quote! Congrats from another gringa married to a chilean :) Do you have children together? If so, the embassy told me last week that you can apply for an expedite through the NVC process, essentially sending the case directly to the embassy!
