July 2013 I-130 Filers

That's exactly what it means. I just submitted a service request on-line a few minutes ago and it went through successfully and gave me a SR number and a date of April 9 to expect an answer.

Our I-130 has been sitting at NSC since it was transferred there on Sept 12, 2013 and has been collecting dust...

Thanks, that's what I thought. We received a response today to the service request we lodged on the 10th which says our case is with an officer for adjudication, but that they cannot advise what the timeframe is for adjudication. I'm not sure whether it's worth submitting another service request if our case is assigned to an officer... but then I don't trust anything USCIS tell me these days so I may as well.

Given the time difference and general wait times in calling USCIS, it's going to be an early start tomorrow morning

We received an email with this today:

On March 18, 2014, your address was changed relating to the I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN that you filed.

We haven't changed our address. Is this similar to the alien registration number emails? Is there hope that they're working on our file?!

***Edit: hmm.. Ok.. Nevermind. They responded to our service request just to say that it's with an officer and... Keep waiting. Sigh.

My status changed "Initial Review" to "Post Decision Activity" in an hour. No sign " Alien Registration Number changed".

You should call them to ask about your address. They're working on your file now, you get approved very soon!!!! Good Luck friend!

On the Mar 17 I got a RFE ugh

You just now got an RFE? What the heck?? Did you call USCIS prior to getting the RFE? There is something seriously wrong with USCIS and their processing times. I'm wondering what the heck is going on there.

We were asked to prove bona fide marriage. They gave us suggestions of what to include, we went with:

Call Logs,

Joint checking account statements

Photos

Flight/Hotel confirmation

Photocopy of passport stamps

Affidavits of Support from friends and family members (notarized)

Written timeline of events from petitioner on how we met and subsequent visits, proposal, marriage etc.

Good luck, they received ours on the 11th March and every day we wait for a response. I'm hoping today is that day (but then I say that everyday lol)

Have you tried calling USCIS? You shouldn't have any trouble raising a service request now that the processing times have been updated. You could also try emailing NSC directly. I did that on the weekend but I think it was just luck that we were approved this week anyway. Worth a try!

It seems things are picking up for July filers. Maybe they have finally put on those extra resources to get the processing times down? We can only hope!
