Happy dance, tears of joy, anger at USCIS for it taking so long and the dread of dragging through NVC. Above all else, though, knowing that I'm *THIS* much closer to seeing my wife and kids again...

To those still waiting, have your USC spouse get in touch with their State Senator's office if they haven't already. I appreciate that not all Senator's are cut from the same cloth, but it can't hurt to try and I'm 99.99% certain it helped my case....

Sending mega-positive vibes to fellow Juliers still waiting good.gif

As a July filer still waiting (file received at NSC 1/7) I'm contemplating contacting our senator to try and progress things. Can anyone provide a sample of the letters/emails they have sent? I'm undecided as to whether we should wait for the full 60 days or just send something off in the short term..?

I have the exact same date as you. My file was also received by NSC on 1/7. They say NSC is running at 60- 90 days after transfer.

That means we should expect our petitions to be looked on anywhere between March 7- April 7. Thats a realistic timeframe, my opinion.

Realistically I'm working on that timeframe (decision by April 7), but I figure it can't hurt to stir things up a bit seeing as the letter that came with our transfer notice said 60 days.. It may amount to nothing, but I figure it's worth a try.

If My case is in California, what number should I dial to start calling everyday?

Are you at 60 days at CSC ?

There is a small majority that gets approved there at 60 or more days.

Email them.

Today I called customer service and spoke to a tier 2 representative.

He looked at my case and told me that RIGHT NOW Nebraska is processing June 2 2013 applicants and that I must wait another 45 days before my file gets attention. I told him that its near to 60 days since transfer, but he was kind enough to tell me not to worry it might be sooner than 45 days from now. Beyond that he said he has no information and because he suggested not to put in a SR as it can further cause delays, I decided not to do it.

So for now, its only WAIT, WAIT, WAIT!!!

I don't think there's a 'template' as such - each case being different an' all... What I'm sure helped in my case was explaining the emotional and financial strain this all is having on my family, especially for my kids. Humanise your letter but try to keep it succinct and show that you're willing back up your claims with evidence; bank statements, teachers' reports, etc.

Good luck in getting your approval pushed through.

Been chasing up my local Senator's office and it seems to have had some effect:

On February 28, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN.

@ LuvMyTater: please PM me if you still haven't had any updates on your case...

Were you approved the same day you received this notification? My status just changed as well.
