"On February 26, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators."

i got this too yesterday i am august filer ...i wish this is not big deal ....some people got approval after hours or days or week ..?????? so confused about this

I have a question, I had my i130 approved feb 8th, and have already submitted the i485. I just received notificacion from the i130 (?), and says the following:

we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing.

What does this mean? Btw, this is my i485 is for adjustment of status while in the US

Basically it means that USCIS just sent the approved I-130 to NVC.

Give it some time (a week or so) and start calling NVC.

How is it going with the NVC process????

This is what I got today from NBSC as a response to a service request:

"Thank you for your recent inquiry about your I-129F petition.

USCIS records show that this case was received by the National Benefits Center (NBC) on July 26, 2013. The case was then transferred to the Nebraska Service Center (NSC) on January 6, 2014.

At this time the case is assigned to an officer. Although assigned, we cannot predict the date the case may actually receive review.

If you have not received a decision or other notice of action on this case within 60 days from the date of this email, please contact us for an update."

I've been getting this "assigned to an officer" BS for almost two weeks now. God only knows when "the officer" will get to my petitions!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They drove us crazy so far and they are still driving us nuts!!!!

I don't think it's them. But I think USCIS (NBC) transferred a huge number of I-130 petitions to Nebraska.

From looking at the numbers published, Nebraska is kind of buried right now in I-130's and they have been working at a descent pace so far

I've paid all my fees and as of today, I've submitted all documents and forms. I should be getting a checklist for an error on my I-864, but I've already proactively submitted the correction so if there is no other mistake or missing information, I am just waiting for case complete!

Thank you etrangais, for me that means trying to contact NVC, to explain that im not pursuing a visa, but an adjustment of status insted

congrats etrangals.. If your's transferred on Jan 2 to NBSC, when was it received by them?

Like for example mine transferred on Jan 3 but was received on Jan 7.

I'm only a day behind you so I am trying to do project a timeline for myself. Thanks.

It was received on the 6th.
