Please, help

We received the hardcopy from CSC that our petition is approved. But it is Type: Notice of transfer to NVC. Should we expect another hardcopy Type: Notice of approval?

That's not your approval notice then (?)

Approved on 01/27 right ?

You should have received your "notice of approval" by now.

This is my question, should we expect another hardcopy? This hardcopy is Notice Type: Transfer notice. It states: 'the above petition has been approved. .....have sent to NVC. So it contains this information but it is not notice of approval.

That's your approval, don't worry! This is totally normal for CSC. California doesn't send separate notices to tell you that they've transferred your case to NVC, they do it all in one. You have NOA2 and your case should be at NVC in about two weeks. Congrats!

Boston, is that what we should expect from NSC and TSC too? Just one "combo" approval/ship-to-NVC ?

To my knowledge this is a quirk with CSC, and the other centers will send a separate "...we have shipped" notification. No matter where you're coming from, if NVC doesn't have your petition a couple of weeks after your approval, you should call USCIS and ask them what day your petition actually left the building.

You can either get your husband a tax ID (ITIN) to do your return as Married Filing Jointly, or if you don't want to go through all that paperwork, you can file as Married Filing Separately. In that case you won't be able to file your return online -- you'll need to print it out when everything else is done, put "NRA" (non-resident alien) under the spouse's SSN field, and mail it.

O my goodness thank you so much for the information!! i greatly appreciate it!
