Dear vjyers,

I just filed my AOS today.And when I try to check on my Travel Document I made a mistake of checking on the wrong box for Part 2 Application type.I checked on 1.a which says (I am a permanent resident or conditional resident of the US,and I am applying for reentry permit.

I am a K1 visa holder.And I was told by some to file for 1-131 Application for travel Document together with my AOS.This application somewhat confuses me. I have no plans of leaving the country as of the moment but those people I knew who had filed for their AOS told me to just go ahead and file it though,and just put unknown on the intended date of departure instead.

I guess none of those indicated on Part 2 Application type applied to me. Please help.What do I have to check on.

Can I still have it fixed?

Can I have another application for 1-131 sent again without me paying for the travel document fee.I am really confused.

Pls. help

They may notice your mistake and automatically fix it for you. A K-1 gets AP, not a re-entry permit and they know this.
