In other words, just by putting the word 'gun' in a sentence doeesn't suddenly make the statement political in any sense of the word.

I know that. That doesn't seem to be the way things work here. Either mods prefer to keep all things guns in P&R or the P&R people immediately turn any threads mentioning guns into a 2nd amendment debate or a combination of the two. (most likely)
