I'm overthinking it again. The pencil won't write on the back of the photo and I don't have a felt tip pen. Did you use just a regular pen?

Yeah, I just used a biro pen and wrote gently. They just don't want folks coming in with their pointy pens and writing so hard that you can see indentations of the letters through to the front, you know? So that's why they suggest pen or felt.

Yeah! It was okay! As easy as everyone promised me it would be.

I was nervous and antsy on the walk over to the embassy, but once we were inside I actually felt okay.

I'm sending off the visa today to the London Embassy (DCF) for my husband and we have everything together.

We had to get an international bank draft. Do we have to sign the back or put our address on it?

It says on the checklist to print name and address of petition.

The back of the international bank draft says to endorse/sign above line.

I don't want to void out anything on accident? Help! lol

Quick question:

What did you do about the police certificate? Are you allowed to order those before the actual second part comes in, after the approval? Do we BOTH need one, or just him?

Also, did you include affadavits from american family members or anything like that?

Yes. You can order it now.

Other things to think about are his long birth certificate and getting his vaccination record from his GP. Just prepare for medical and interview.

Yeah. He can use his checkbook if he wants. I used debit card info. It's a UK thing, so any UK payments will go.

I paid for it, so I assumed I did, but looking back it looks like I actually used my UK checkbook. Sorry. At least it's not a US account this time. smile.png That was the first time I'd written a cheque in like, 5 years.

Yeah, UK photo. You're gonna need at least 2 more US photos before you're done (for the interview) and another UK or US photo for the medical. All the photos!

I got a letter in the mail today from the USCIS saying that they require additional information posted back as soon as possible.

I need to send an affidavit from myself explaining how we met and what led to our marriage, and 3 affidavits from other people explaining the same.

Would it be okay to use his mom,dad and sister for the three affidavits? Or do they want outside people?
