Port Of Entry

What should we expect at the Port of Entry for K-1?? is there more questions to be asked?? I know you need the visa, sealed env., & X-Ray. Is there anything else needed? What do we need to know or what should we be informed about for this very important day? Have people been turned back at the POE?

My POE (toronto) experience was quick and pleasant.

I told the immgration officer that I ws entering on a K1 and he directed me to a waiting room.

Once in the room I handed in my sealed envellope, and passport to the officer there. Was called up for finger printing and photo a minute later. I-94 was stamped, passport was stamped and I was on my way.

No one ever needed or wanted to see my x-ray - it is now on the wall in my office.

i entered through LAX the only thing i hap problem with was the steward assured me that i didnt need to fill out the white card which i knew i had after watching the customs video on the plane but he insisted.."believe me i have done this thousands of times" he said..

i travelled with my now husband and we went into the U.S. citz line he went first then i gave the officer my envelope ....showed my passport and then customs forms ..he asked me to fill out the white form so i did so...went back to him looked over everything entered details onto the I-94.

told my husband to go get my luggage while he processed me...got the stamp and i was on my way...didnt really ask me any questions that i can remember and if he did it was basic question that i knew the answers to straight away...funny how u forget things lol...i didnt need my x-rays although i had them if asked for..

was completed within 10mins ..and my husband hadnt even got all the luggage lol so in conclusion there is nothing to be worried about just have everything handy and out while your waiting in line....

they'll often take the secret brown "do not open" envelope, they took Jum's and we ended up needing some of the information in it for the AOS (medical info), so make copies of everything you ever file or obtain and it will save you time in the future.

Hey Andy, Congrats on the interview

You'll be fine there isn't really anything to be nervous about (Unless you open the "Borwn envelope"), so DONOT!!! other than that they just ask for your stuff, stamp it, staple the I-94 to the passport and that's about it. They didn't keep my hubby's X-ray so its in our house collecting dust
