Hello Family

i am a 8 March filer Yesterday they updated my case status and now i can see (last update on July 10 2013)but my status is still on initial review and i have not receive any email.....What does that mean please?

The transfer applies to a lot of March and April filers so far. You can read about it here:

that simply means that your case has been handled by an internal immigration officer! they touched your case! no need to worry, this is good news; means your case is not just sitting on the immigration officers desk they are actually going through it and working on it! this is a wait game so just calm and take it easy! everything will be alright!

it means they scanned the box your stuff is in.. they picked it up and moved it.. probably into work flow

when you go on the uscis website you can check your status online with the receipt number they send you by mail.

your file has not been touched yet.. or maybe it has and the system wasn't updated

expect around 6 months

if it is less, which is happening a lot these days, then your expectations will have been easily surpassed

I do hope to hear something soon since I have been seeing people from April who have been transferred but other people who are March filers like me have not received anything yet.

the waiting game is very difficult I know

the process is not easy to understand

since we as petitioners can not influence any of the process .. you kinda have to wait .. remove the emotions if possible.. remember there are 100's of thousands of petitions in the pipe

Thanks. Trying to keep myself busy and hoping that I wake up one day and just see a text/email from USCIS. It just sucks how USCIS is so unorganized. There are probably other people from Nov-Jan who have not gotten anything yet but they are working on April filer. I wish they would have some sort of system. Its ok to wait the 5-6 months but if you've been waiting for more than 5 months and seeing that those who file after you are getting approved makes it harder.
