So here is my story:

I sent my I-360 Petition was received at the Texas service center on April 13 and it was transferred to CSC on August 9. I thought that was a good thing. I thought it would speed things up. Well, now I called the USCIS info line and it says "please allow 180 days after TRANSFER date before inquiring about a pending case" OH MY GOD! Does anybody know if they use the April 13 date or the August 9 date? The way it looks, I am going to wait almost a FULL YEAR before I even get an answer since my new receipt date is on August 9.

I don't know how much longer I can stand this. This is a never ending road that just gets worse and worse.

I hope that my date is still April 13, because the processing dates are now just on February 7... Gaw, I'm so nervous I could pull my hair out. Is any body in the same boat as me, or does anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Thanks for letting me vent.

First of all: Calm down :D

Look at the approval timelines in the CSC thread and you'll see that most people (with me as the notable exception) are approved in way less than 180 days. What are the people supposed to say who are not transferred at all and have been waiting for an interview date for months and months.....??

That aside, it says "180 days from the date of the transfer". Your transfer was August 9, so of course, that's when your 180 days start.

And, just to let you know what happens AFTER 180 days pass with nothing happening:

After that time, USCIS will just tell you that they "put an inquiry on your case" and that you "should receive some information within 3-4 weeks". I am still waiting.....

As I said, look in the CSC transfer thread and look at the timelines there......most probably your approval will happen before the 180 days have passed.

Good luck,

CW

EDIT: I just realized that you wrote "I-360 petition"......all the others in the CSC thread are I-485 transfers (including me)......I don;t know whether that makes a difference.

I did get the same message as you with the "180 days...", so I would think it's similar, but of course, you never know.....

It's interesting information, though, that other kinds of cases besides the I-485s are being transfered as well :)

Hey, CWR

Is it just me, or do you ever feel like crying/punching something/someone when people go "Omg! I was transferred to CSC yesterday and today I got my welcome email!"?

Is it just me? Am I just insane?

(PS: Yes, I realize you're WAY ahead of my husband as far as wait time at CSC, so we shouldn't be bitching -- but damn it, over two months since the last touch and pretty close to 3 months since transfer can really drive a person up a wall.)

I hear you :D

I was always trying to ignore the feeling of envy......but I do admit seeing processing times of two weeks or so after the transfer made me quite frustrated sometimes :(

I already posted in the CSC thread, I have good news: I was approved today (6 months and 10 days after the transfer). Let's hope that everyone else's processing time will be A LOT shorter!! :)

Good luck,

CW

I hear ya rebeccajo..... just annoys me to see CSC transfers moaning about their wait time.... I am sure there are 100's who would swap places with them that have not been transfered to CSC and are sitting on a back burrner somewhere waiting for an interview or name checks.....

Waiting stinks.

People here do it during petition filings on the domestic end, AP/AR on the consulate end, AOS, natz - it's what we do here.

There's people who have been waiting longer than Wes and I have for the greencard. Lots longer. Depends on whose figures you look at - there are 160,000 to 400,000 of us outside of processing times.

There's a concerted effort to resolve the CSC cases. I'm just wondering when there is going to be a concerted effort to resolve stale cases everywhere else.

Maybe all cases 6 months outside of processing should be moved to California?

Just a thought.

here we go again.

i know you feel frustrated...but really. if you step outside your circumstances a little bit, you'd realize that there are a lot of folks here who have waited a LOT longer than you have.

15 + months for us.

many folks here have been waiting 2 years or more.

I second that :D

Hey, I just realized that I could have looked on the website all these months and found out that my case hasn't been touched since August 9th. For some reason, I was thinking the receipt number wouldn't get me into the USCIS status webite. Wow. I'm a bit off. =P

*prays for touching now that she can see it!*
