I think this is ridiculous.

It is ridiculous. The state is so desperate to get some kind of a conviction they have to go to extremes since they failed miserably on trying to prove second degree murder. How would you like to beat the charge and then get 5 years because you were late paying a parking ticket. I see riots no matter what happens now.
