  • The "priority date" is the "notice date" on your NOA1 or the "receipt date" on your NOA2

If one thinks that they put the wrong priority date because of my info, they can always update their info online even after setting up an appointment.

the date does not even show on the appointment confirmation nor on any DS forms. so no big deal at all!

We didn't book my visa interview appointment last night because we had to make sure we have all the info correct. Today, my petitioner called this number (214) 571-1600 I gave to him, the Call Center Agent from the VISA UNIT said there is no priority date for K1. rofl.gif AND, he instructed that we don't use ANY of the dates on our NOA's at all. The Call Center Agent says we are to just use: 10-10-10 or 10-10-2010.

Good to know for the future... thanks.

A priority date is issued for the K-1 (I got it from NVC), just the same its good to know the embassy doesn't care, which I thought was the case as the priority date is used for "those on the waiting list" for getting an immigrant visa. (I will make note on the list)

priority date is actually for "immigrants" that's why we don't have that..

hahaha no wonder why we can change that date on our profile anytime..

they should indicate that online too when scheduling...

this only proves that NVC and embassy do have different info..

and robb&ann does not rely much with nvc reps bec they had lied to us before..

though i know nvc would say it is the received date on NOA1.. but usem says a different date.. lol...

no sense pushing over which date is right bec we are all wrong.HAHAHA bad info?

usem's instructions to immigrants and non are also mixed.. just like the CEAC letter thing..so it's not a surprise that we do get confused even this PD which they asked from us even if we dnt really have it.

thanks for letting us know.. now we know that those dates on our noa's are really nothing for usem..a lot had used those dates on noa esp the received date..and are now in the US..lol! and not all really knows that we should use 10-10-10 until someone has to call usem..

it's good that ur F called USEM to confirm. that's a "smart" move if one really wants to make sure..and shared this to us. Goodluck on your interview! good.gif
