This doesn't make any sense.

What American accent do you have?

Your Result: Boston

You definitely have a Boston accent, even if you think you don't. Of course, that doesn't mean you are from the Boston area, you may also be from New Hampshire or Maine.

I got the same. Of course I am from Boston, but I SWEAR I DON'T HAVE A BOSTON ACCENT!!!!!!!

Oh, and I think Mary and marry sound the same, and merry is different. That wasn't an option. That must be why my results are off. :P

No way, they are 3 different sounds! :P:innocent::D

Do sure and shore sound the same?

No, silly!

Sure is like "shirt" without the t, and shore rhymes with chore!

:D:hehe:

Me too. How about the word "hurry"? For me "hurry" and "furry" don't rhyme. People think that's weird. Also, when I say "room" it sounds like "rum". Maybe I do have a BIT of a Boston accent.

Tested out at: Midland. But when I'm stressed or experiencing moments of road-rage I will revert back to an Okie-twang.

Hurry furry feet.

Do hurry and furry rhyme for Brits??

Definitely not.

I think there are a lot of similarities actually between British and Boston accents.

How do you pronounce the two words?

How do you pronounce the two words?

The U in "hurry" is like the U in "cup". The U in "furry" is like, well, the U in "fur".

Do you pahk cahs in Boston, Jennifah?

I do not! But my family does.

I have a friend who didn't realize until she was an adult that her aunt's name is "Marge", not "Maj".
