I got "Midland" but I'm raised in the Inland North. I never picked up the MN accent. When I saw the thread title, I thought "my accent is 'newscaster.'

Sometimes I hear more pretty accents and feel ashamed of the flat way I talk.

I actually have a mid-atlantic accent from all the years of living in the UK -- people sometimes think I'm Irish on the phone

When I'm back the D, all the hard consonants and nasal vowels come out though
