Hello all,

My fiance seems to have gotten the run around. Is there anyone else out there who had to obtain their NBI from Manila while out of the Philippines?

Can you tell us what you did to get one? Did you have a relative go to Manila for you? Or were you able to go to the local Philippine consulate or embassy in the country you were in and have them process an NBI report for you?

My fiance is in United Arab Emirates, and she will need a Philippine National Bureau of Investigation report suitable for international travel for her K-1 interview scheduled for February 12th in Abu Dhabi.

  • August 4, 2006 sent certified mail I-129F packet Neb SC
  • August 9, 2006 NOA1
  • August 21, 2006 received NOA1 in mail
  • October 4, 5, 7, 13 & 17 2006 Touches! 50 day address change... Yes Judith is beautiful, quit staring at her passport photo and approve us!!! Shaming works! LOL
  • October 13, 2006 NOA2! November 2, 2006 NOA2? Huh? NVC already processed and sent us on to Abu Dhabi Consulate!
  • February 12, 2007 Abu Dhabi Interview SUCCESS!!! February 14 Visa in hand!
  • March 6, 2007 she is here!
  • MARCH 14, 2007 WE ARE MARRIED!!!
  • May 5, 2007 Sent AOS/EAD packet
  • May 11, 2007 NOA1 AOS/EAD
  • June 7, 2007 Biometrics appointment
  • June 8, 2007 first post biometrics touch, June 11, next touch...
  • August 1, 2007 AOS Interview! APPROVED!! EAD APPROVED TOO...
  • August 6, 2007 EAD card and Welcome Letter received!
  • August 13, 2007 GREEN CARD received!!! 375 days since mailing the I-129F!

    Remove Conditions:

  • May 1, 2009 first day to file
  • May 9, 2009 mailed I-751 to USCIS CS

hello ready4ONE,

I am half filipina and was born here in Japan. I lived in the Philippines for 8 years before coming back here to Japan and they asked me to get an NBI from the Philippines and brought it with me to the interview here in Tokyo. I'm sure that your fiance will get the instructions in her packet 4 and I am pretty sure she will need to get an NBI because it stated that "all philippine-born applicants should get an NBI" in my packet 4 :yes: .

oh, and I got mine before coming here just in case I needed it. I read that you could ask someone to get it for her in the Philippines like a relative, just make sure there's an official receipt together with the NBI
