Ok i'm technically challenged.

What in the name of sam hill is a podcast?

I ask because I'll be taking a 19 hour trip soon and I wanted to download some past broadcasts from npr's all things considered but I don't have the faintest idea how to do it or where to start. Would this be a podcast type thing? :unsure:

02/05/07 - I-130 NOA1

02/21/07 - I-129 NOA1

04/09/07 - I-130 and I-129F approval email sent!!!!

04/26/07 - Packet 3 received

06/16/07 - Medical Examination

06/26/07 - Packet 3 SUBMITTED FINALLY!!!!

07/07/07 - Received pkt 4

07/22/07 - interview consular never bothered to show up for work.

07/29/07 - interview.

I get mine from ITUNES. Many are free. Go to ITUNES podcast section and search. I suppose you can search NPR and it will find them for you?

I download a new music podcast. My Itunes automatically downloads mine each week :)

More than you ever wanted to know about podcasts.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

What iTunes tells me when I click "Podcasts": "Podcasts are radio shows that are downloaded over the Internet. You can find a wide variety of podcasts in the Podcast Directory. Subscribe to them and iTunes will automatically download new episodes."

The Ricky Gervais ones on iTunes are especially funny.... :thumbs:

Hm. I found that the short answer is you sort of do. On iTunes you can subscribe to the podcast for free, but to get protected AAC files from iTunes onto an MP3 player... I believe it MUST be an iPod. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.)

Try Audible.com. They have 10 years back and I believe each This American Life is $.95. The files are compatible with a ton of devices. Find the This American Life Specialty Store here .

I am enjoying the Babysitter This American Life podcast right now, thanks :)

I have never downloaded a podcast, I only download Mp3's. I didn't think we could that's why I never tried. Let me know how it works out for you.

I just got a cute little 2g ipod nano, and I (L) it. *huggles ipod* Wouldn't have the foggiest idea if your scandisk would work with itunes though.

Howeva, do check out these (islam related) mp3s that would probably go on your scandisk

NPR's podcasts can be found here, and can be downloaded in mp3 format.

Also, if you want to recharge your player in Egypt, make sure you bring along a power adaptor/converter.
