Hi All...I've been here for a while, but I haven't started the process yet. It took nearly 1 year to find a job, and what with the issues with that, we decided to wait. I can't wait to start, but I also don't want to start it too fast (my job doesn't start for a few weeks.) Can someone clear up this confusion I have about processing times? According to the site, I-129Fs from April of this year are now being processed. Thats a 7 mth wait :crying: but I noticed with a few of you (Tony /Anthea ) who are also from California/Vietnam, you guys seem to be going faster??? Am I right?

For example (sorry Tony/Anthea but its just for illustration... )

2006-05-13: I-129F sent

2006-05-15: NOA1 - I-129F received

2006-06-29: 1st RFE received

2006-06-29: 1st RFE sent

2006-08-17: 2nd RFE received

2006-08-17: 2nd RFE sent

2006-08-28: NOA2 - I-129F approved

2006-09-18: Received by NVC

2006-09-20: Left NVC

2006-09-22: Received by Consulate

2006-10-05: Pack 3 sent by Consulate but got lost!

2006-10-19: Pack 3 picked up from Consulate

2006-10-22: Pack 3 response submitted

THANKS

If you are looking at the USCIS website those dates are not reality. It is best to do a search of members actual timelines. CSC is about 75-90 days typical. VSC is 30 or so days typical. Of course your results may very.

YMMV

Mine is actually one of the slower ones in CSC. Recently, I noticed there have been a few that went through very quickly in 2 months instead of almost 4 months like mine.

Here is a sorted list so you can see by CSC and Vietnam:

Slower because summer filers got caught up in the IMBRA debacle which hopefully is about normalized by now,

YMMV

Just keep asking questions!

That is the best way to go about it. Lots of experienced Vietnam VJ members on here. There isn't a bad question to ask.

Best of luck to you both!
