Hi guys,

USCIS usually claims that they try to make decisions on form I-130 as soon as the priority date becomes close to being current.

Now that F2A is current, any F2A applicant with a pending I-130 can contact USCIS and/or their congressman about thier pending I-130 now, base on that premise.

I just contacted my congressman this afternoon and they say they will inquire and get back to me in a couple of days.

Hi,

I also contacted USCIS as my NAO2 is pending. They told me that we need to wait for the I130 to be approved. There is nothing I can do until I130 is approved. How did you contact your congressman? I would like to do the same for my wife.

Hi guys:

Here is a response from my congressman's office after contacting USCIS on my I-130 case. Classic USCIS response; always as vague as the word vague itself :))

I received your privacy release and case information regarding your petition.

I did inquire into your pending petition. I contacted the service center regarding the August Visa Bulletin as well for the F2A category. The response I received was that your case is currently pending review at this time. The service center was not able to provide a definite timeframe for review but I plan to follow up in a few weeks.

Thank you

I was told by my congressman's office that USCIS usually get back to them within 72 hours and they did indeed get back to me within that timeframe. My congressman's office plans to contact them again by the end of this month. hopefully that will led to someone picking up my file.

Let us know when you congressman gets back to you.

Goodluck

You contacted congressman Becerra who is in California yet your service center is Vermont. Are you actually in California in Becerra district or you were told to contact this particular congressman?

Did you guys call/email/post letter to the congressman? I am looking to do this soon... so wanting to know... thank you..

I first emailed them but I was advised to send a signed General Privacy Release Form and Immigration Privacy Release Form. The instruction from the congressman's office is send it via postal mail, email or fax. I mailed it on Wednesday, yesterday the case worker from congressman office called me that he received the documents and he will be working on it and inquire about the delay. I am still waiting for an update. I will give it another week before making any follow-up call. My PD is July 2012 @ VSC.
