Getting disappointed with the wait

Hi,

I sent out my AOS package on May 30th, got NOA on 8th June and Biometrics letter on 12th june for appointment on 3rd july.

I did walk in for my biometrics on June 24th and since then I have been waiting for the online status to change. I know it is hasn't been too long but after seeing so many people posting that they received status update after

10 days on average, I am getting disappointed with the longer wait. Is it still usual to wait for like 30 days? I am getting nervous :(

I dont know what visa are adjusting of but after I get my work permit (on sept 2012) i did not here a thing from my gc per months. It took my 9 month to get it. I adjusted from a fiance visa. The only good thing is that I did not have an interview, i was approved without it. So try to be patient.

If you applie for an EAD usually arrives 1 month later after the biometrics. And dont worry, usually rfe's and rejections arrives way before the biometrics appointment

I am also disappointed with the wait . I sent all my papers on May 1, received my EAD card and done my biometrics on June 6 and I am still waiting. The status is still on acceptance and my colleagues that sent papers either on my same day or after they already received their green card in the mail. Their biometrics were one week after mine.

You guys have barely been in the process for two months since sending out AOS, and you're losing patience now?

It'll be a LOOOOONG wait unless you relax a bit. For most, it takes at least 4-6 months - and for some, up to a year.

May 2013 filing is still very recent. I started my AOS on March 6th and had my interview on May 23rd and still waiting. Patience is the name of the game with USCIS. Now is not the time for you guys to 'lose' patience. Quite honestly, it's too soon. Hold tight....

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

  • 3 weeks later...

I am really getting worried about the wait now. I haven't received any update on my case status at all. I called customer service but they gave standard answer asking to check back in 75 days for EAD card.

Seeing all this cases getting EAD or interview notice within month of biometrics worries me. I am not sure they even have our case anymore. Do you guys think I should schedule for an info pass appointment?

mine was like u from the start, every thing seems fast and even i only waited for 2 weeks after biometrics to get an interview and i thought i would get my green card under 3months but after attending interview 3 weeks ago, am still here waiting. so my advice is wait and your time will come. start preparing for the interview. i would say most people get their green btw 4 to 6 months but am looking at 4 months if i get mine before 10th august

You seem to have a lot of misconceptions about he process and that is causing you strife. Why don't you refactor your expectations a bit? The EAD takes 90 days.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
