Hello,

I am filing out the papers for my k1 visa- but I have two addresses. I am an American and Israeli citizen and I have an address in New Jersey and an address where I live with my fiance in Israel. My fiance and I would like to get married in NJ and move there permanently- but we plan on staying in Israel until that official move after we get the K-1 visa.

In question 18 I am writing about how I currently live with my fiance in Israel- but the address I am putting is my New Jersey address. I am really unsure which address is advised to list on the form and how I would list both.

On the visa documents am I ment to put my American address or my Israeli address?

If you have any knowledge or experience in this regard please share.

Thank you.

I was in a similar situation- I was living in Spain with my fiancé until recently.

What I did was this:

- On Form I-129F, I wrote in my U.S. address where I wanted things mailed (my parent's address and where I'm living now temporarily). (This is the form where you should write in the mailing addresses both for yourself and for your fiancé(e).

- On G-325A, I listed my present address in SPAIN to clearly demonstrate that I was living in Spain at the time of filing at the same address as my Spanish fiancé.

- I added a "Supplement" sheet to I-129F to explain the differences in addresses. I listed and wrote out both my "mailing address" in the US and then my "physical address" in Spain and also stated when I was moving back to the States.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe on I-129F you MUST list a US address- the NOA1 and NOA2 have to be sent to a US address.

I had absolutely no problems with this- we've now gotten our NOA2 and we're waiting on everything to be sent to the Embassy in Madrid.

Best of luck!

This is not true. NOA1 and NOA2 can, and have, been sent to addresses overseas.

It seems that USCIS considers the address of the petitioner on the form I-129f (#2) to be a mailing address. Even though I told USCIS, in a supplemental page, my residence and mailing address, they still mailed my NOA1 to the residence address, where mail is not delivered! I would fill out the I-129f (#2) with my mailing address on the face of the form (which is scanned into the system); and then attach a supplemental page with my residence address, if different. Later in the form (#14) there is a place to enter the intended residence.
